FLTRXS Road Glide Special Review: Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 V-Twin Engine

This motorcycle is always fast, flowing, and fun, no matter the road. In part, that’s thanks to the Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 V-Twin engine powering the Road Glide Special. This engine, named for the four valves per each cylinder (for a total of eight), was designed to offer riders more power, less heat, and less vibration.

With 32 degrees of lean angle, the Road Glide Special is an enjoyable cornering machine. As the highway twists, you can “glide” along with it and sweep through those turns.

A more evolved interface experience has arrived in the Road Glide Special. For all your apps, maps, and more, the Boom!™ Box GTS infotainment system offers easy visibility and access with a 165 mm (6.5-inch) screen that looks and feels like the latest mobile devices and tablets.

This full colour TFT touchscreen puts your most-essential apps at your fingertips. It performs even while wearing touchscreen gloves, and low reflectivity means you’ll be able to see your maps, music, and more no matter how strongly the sun shines. 

Of course, you don’t want your hands far from the handlebars as you ride your Road Glide Special. The entire GTS system can be managed with the motorcycle hand controls, so you can ride safely.
